Most parents will have heard their children complaining of having ‘nothing to do'. And sometimes, boredom leads children into anti-social or dangerous behaviour. So how good would it be if having nothing to do was never an issue again?!

Get Hooked on Life (GHOL) is a social network designed for children of junior school age, giving them access to sport, leisure and social activities out of school time. Currently piloting in south Yorkshire, it brings together activities across the region, connecting children and parents virtually to take part in real life activities. Yoomee has worked with project leader Dave Ryan to create the site, piloting from January 2010.

"Yoomee's expertise in social networking has been invaluable. And we've developed a new way of working with them, because of the scale of this project, scoping out the work in manageable chunks that we've prioritised. I don't think the results would have been as effective any other way. We're hoping to have rolled-out GHOL so that there's a club in every Sheffield school within the next two years."

Nicola says Yoomee has high hopes for GHOL. "Using the web to connect children and inspire them to get involved and get active is a great idea - there are so many things to do that parents and families can miss - now it's all here. I think lots of new friendships, hobbies and interests will come out of this for our young people."
