Happy New Year
Our Rodeo Reindeer Yoomee launch party certainly helped us to say goodbye to 2009 with a bang; a bang of limbs hitting the deck (at least it was a padded one!) as we tumbled from Rudolph's back.
He arrived in inimitable style in his very own white van, complete with antlers on wing mirrors and a red nose on the radiator, and we loved him. Not so sure that all our guests did though. Some of them were very British and reticent about saddling up on. Not so, our intern Rob, who was born to ride rodeo and stunned us with his ability to stay in the saddle. He left the competition standing (or rather lying on the floor) with his one-handed, reindeer whispering style and walked away with a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
Thanks so much to all of you who braved the snow, left your own parties and festivities a little early or managed to stick to that very last pre-Christmas deadline to join us at Electric Works. We thoroughly enjoyed catching up with old friends, making some new and generally having fun.
The response to our new name and rebrand was a universal thumbs up. Everybody loves them. Thanks so much to the guys at Peter + Paul (who joined us just as we were clearing up the party debris, following a Christmas jaunt to Gateshead's 'Baltic') who have stuck with us and come up with fantastic goods. And thanks too to Rich, our very own Banksy, who has done a stalwart job of taking the brand and making it his own – with his fab doodles, snowy stencils and funky lomo-esque movies. He even managed to snatch a few shots on the night so that the party can be remembered for another year.
